Was going to try and achieve so much today, instead I've ended up wasting the whole day and doing pretty much zero. Downloaded a few patches, surfed a few pages, watched some rubbish xmas tv - amazing how much time you can waste really. Now I'm left with the choice of what to do tonight.

I could stay in but I suspect that if I do that I will get very drunk very quickly, become depressed and then go to sleep by about 11pm. I could go out but have no one to go out with. Half the people don't want to do anything or are away whilst the rest - well I can't even be bothered asking them as I know full well they will be busy or won't want to go out drinking. They never do. So, go out by myself maybe - an even more sure fire way to get depressed. God I hate New Year!

My final resolutions.

  • Objective 14. (It's personal and shall only be known by this name)
  • Sign up with a dentist. (been putting it off for years after I moved here - about time I did it)
  • Be more spontaneous.
  • Do at least one really stupid/silly thing a month.

Well, that's me about done for this year. Whatever happens I doubt I'll be in much of a state to blog very shortly. So ends 2003 - a year of empty promise. Like to say 2004 will be different but I think that to myself every single year and as yet I've never been right. Guess if I say it enough then one day....? Yeah I know - be positive. Happy New Year to you all from a BlogMonkey currently trying to find people that want to go out and have FUN tonight!!!!

I finally got around to reading 1984 on the train on the way back up here yesterday. Got my gran to buy it for me for Christmas as I thought I needed a bit more culture in my life.

Not a bad book really - although I was a little upset that I started off reading the intro at the beginning of the book and in two and a half pages it had given away the entire story, including the ending! In some ways you can see things in the book coming true now whilst others seem a lot less likely. Maybe scariest is that in some ways things could be even worse now than he predicted - isn't technology wonderfull?!
Another resolution for next year.

  • Be more environmentally friendly

Kinda got thinking about that after I saw this article on the BBC website. Not sure you can exactly compare recycling bottles with energy consumed but it still made me think.

More New Years resolutions thought up over the last few days to add to the list:

  • Wax something. (I'm talking body parts and not surfboards plus I'm open to suggestions as to exactly what to wax...)
  • Do something really nice for my very best friend.
  • Go rollerskating at a rink somewhere
God its good to be back home and to be in a house that doesn't make you feel like you are living in a small wood shack in the Arctic!! You appreciate central heating so much more when you have spent the last 5 days in a house that lacks... well any heating really (my mum even has a habit of opening certain windows so you get a nice cold northerly wind whistling thro the house...). If I were a brass monkey lets just say I'd be very upset right now!

Christmas was..... ok. As I'd already made clear I wasn't exactly in the right spirit beforehand and xmas at home is not exactly a joyous occasion. Don't get me wrong I do love to see everyone and its not a bad time or anything but there's no wild parties or any such 'fun' things to really make it great. Plus I missed the interweb....

So if I'm not going to talk about the joys of Christmas in Cornwall what am I going to talk about? Well, I did have fun flirting on the train on the way down. Yeah I'm still really bad at it so I need the practice but you can't really go wrong with "Can I help you with that bag?" can you!? Just need to work on the bit after that....... Was hoping for a repeat of last years trip home when I met a young lady named Abbi but no such luck.

On another note I was on a boozy night out with my brother and his mates just last Saturday when I saw someone that I went to school with back about 15 years ago or more. Was odd really as I was just looking around the pub and thinking "I wonder if I know anyone here? and 30 seconds later there she was! Funny as I also seem to remember seeing her in the same pub about 8 years ago - she remembered both the friends from school that I was with at the time but not me (and I was in her damn class for 5 years!).

Now I sometimes feel old and a little haggard - heading towards 30 too quickly for my liking - but to look at her I'm thinking to myself maybe I haven't aged all that badly after all?! I know its cruel to get pleasure at someone elses expense like that - the reason why I'm not naming the person - but it did make me feel really good about myself! Okay so I'm going to burn in hell....
Wednesday, December 24, 2003
Ooooooh, me 'ead hurts. I no feel so good!!

As you can probably guess I went for the second option yesterday. Didn't intend to get so drunk but after the first glass of wine it just seem to flow from there..... It was a good evening tho when we finally made it to the pub. Can be quite fun when your (very) drunk boss is telling you stuff about work that could be important for your jobs future and you are sat there thinking

"Must concentrate. Listen to important words. Focus! Oooh, that girl there has quite a nice.... Stop it! Pay attention brain!".

Anyway, can't really post for long as I have to pack, go to work and then get into town for some very last minute present shopping before my train at 12:09. I'm doomed.

Final thought - most prominent memory of the day. Mark with a large bottle of the free bubbly shoved down his trousers in an attempt to swipe it at the end of the party. A sight to behold! See you after Christmas everyone - have a good one!!!!!
Tuesday, December 23, 2003
"I'mmmmm coming up so you'd better get this party started!". Or not as the case may be. The office party started officially about an hour ago and boy is it kicking up there! People laying drunk on the floor, snogging in the corner, swinging from the cheap tinsel decorations hanging from the ceiling, dancing until their little legs can move no more. Actually whats really happening is that most people are sat with a plate of food in one hand and a quiz sheet in the other making nothing more than the odd comment to the person sat a few seats away as to if Bob Bobersby from Networks really was born in Glasgow for question 5. And they wonder why I'm sat down here......

Choices - to stay out of the way like last year or to go up and get totally off my face? Hmmm?
Alright already, enough with the signs! No sooner do we lose the tropical heatwave than it starts to rain!! Yup, we have water coming thro the ceiling now from..... somewhere??
Its another sign! Once again the air conditioning is on the fritz and we are in the middle of a tropical Christmas. I am determined to keep my damn santa hat on tho - I dont care if I pass out thro heat stroke!!!!
A heading on the front page of the Qinetiq website states that they are a "...leading science and technology company" - something I find hard to swallow when you see that their latest research was investigating the perfect way to pull an Xmas cracker and win. Who the hell actually wants to claim the crap plastic spinning top or hair slide that you always find in crackers anyway!
It's definitely a sign. My last day at work this year (alright not strictly true as I will be in several times over the holiday) and I am more disorganised than ever! I somehow managed to forget to wear my contact lenses this morning and as a result can see about as well as a bloke with a cardboard box on his head (so excuse and obvious typo's). More importantly I forgot to bring in the beer I bought on the way home from Xmas shopping last night - beer that is desperately needed to try and make the work Christmas party bearable!!! Its a sign that I should leave work as soon as I am able, go home and hibernate.....

A couple more things to add to my list.

  • Get a new job.
  • Be nicer to my mum and talk to my family more.
Monday, December 22, 2003
Okay, here's my plan. As Christmas seems to have lost all its appeal to me, I'm going to start planning for the new year. Over the next week or so leading up to New Year (keeping in mind that I will be at my parents place for a few days and without interweb access) I shall be creating a list of things big and small that I hope to accomplish in 2004. Like everyone else I make resolutions every year and always fail to keep them but usually I dont keep note of what those resolutions were and so have no idea how badly I failed. This will be a record that I can check back on and that will maybe help motivate me to try and cross them all off one at a time. So, to begin....

  • To get fit, and this time properly. (I managed 4 months of swimming this year so it proves I can keep it up)
  • To have a face mask (I like to bring out my feminine side)
  • Travel more. (Go to at least one new country)
  • Learn to have confidence in the person I am.
  • See if a friend I currently like would like to be more than just friends... (no more thinking "what if....?")
  • Learn another language. (Japanese is tempting)
  • Read more. (and not just fantasy books)
Todays pointless research prize goes to the study that found that ...men who stay single are most likely to suffer from depression"! Also "...women take longer to recover after a break-up than men." Groundbreaking stuff!
I finally managed to find a nice santa hat which I am currently wearing - its good for keeping my head warm too. My cunning addition of a sprig of mistletoe has since been removed due to the mocking of several workmates. Not that it really matters. It seems that I exude some strange aura that cancels the magic powers of the mistletoe, rendering it useless. Bugger!

(Brief interlude whilst I am berated by a colleague for saying that the office xmas party will be pants this year - which it will be! If the person organising it is honest with themselves they will admit that too. I'm not saying it's their fault - 'them upstairs' do put some stupid constraints on that are designed to reduce the levels of fun. A small buffet, some cheesy music, orders to not get too drunk on booze which you have to supply yourself and some cerebral party games do not a fun time make! Now where was I...?)

Guess the mistletoe was a little desperate (?) but then it's not just me. Maybe it's something about this time of year, but Pob is feeling it and BB certainly is. I think she sums it up well in her last paragraph (tho I'm not sure the flaming swords bit really applies to me - well not in term of getting any action anyway). Soon be New Year tho and I can once again try and convince myself that next year will be different and that my status as a single bloke will surely soon be at an end....
All the uses for Duct Tape that you could ever imagine.
Looking for that last minute present for the person that has everything (and no, I've still not done any Xmas shopping yet!) then maybe this is what you are looking for. Then again, maybe not.........
This is guaranteed to thrill you. Prepare yourself for excitement and action as you inter the realm of Toothpaste World (insert dramatic music with large booming drums)
Depress yourself by finding out what other people had managed to achieve by the time they were your age.
Some nice snowflake pictures to help get you in teh christmas mood.
I swear its getting harder to wake up for early shift nowdays - must be getting older. Either that or I should stop drinking the night before. Actually I was sleeping very well up until the point where I had this dream that I was walking down a long tunnel/underpass (with a skateboard for some reason) and the further I went, the smaller the tunnel became. I made it to within a few feet of the end - crawling on my stomach - before it just got too small and I could not get any further. But then I found I couldn't go backwards either and was well and truly stuck. It was at that point that a sense of panic hit and I woke up! Sure it must mean something - anyone care to interpret?

Being the 22nd also means that it is my good friend Lee's birthday today, so Happy Birthday!!! (I must be tired, I just wrote Bappy Hirthday and didnt even notice for a minute)

Today is the birthday of more than one person that I know actually but that's not one that I want to remember to be honest. Funny how you forget the stuff that you'd quite like to remember but things you'd rather forget get lodged into your brain and just refuse to budge...... Ah well, much as I'd like to forget, I don't wish that person any ill feeling so hope they do have a good day.

Afraid you are going to get very little sense out of me this afternoon. Its a Friday, its almost the end of the year and I've just got back from the work Christmas lunch. Beer and curry make for no intelligent conversation from me!!!

So instead, go have a snowball fight! Maybe you would prefer something more sedate?

A little macabre maybe and not very seasonal, but this page is also quite interesting. More so if you like dead people.
Its official, I have lost absolutely all motivation towards Christmas!! I just went into town to look for presents - the few that I do need to buy - and of course came back with nothing. Not that I'm really surprised by that because if I'm honest I never had any intention of buying anything. I merely went so that I could try and fool myself into believing that I was doing something positive!

So, so far I have bought no presents (plus have no idea what I need to get) and no cards. Maybe if I just close my eyes Xmas will go away.......?

If you are feeling in the creative mood and fancy making a present for someone, then this is the place for you!
The drink and catch up with my long lost friend happened a little sooner than I thought and we ended up meeting last night. It really was lovely to see her again and I had a great evening (albeit a little cold - bloody winter weather)!

It's strange seeing someone again after so long. In some ways she was the same person I always knew and remembered but in others it was like meeting her for the first time. Guess we all change when that much time has passed - I know I have.

Or maybe I'm just being too philosophical? I'll blame it on being tired as I spent so much time getting ready to go out yesterday that I sort of missed eating (I had a bowl of porridge). Beer was not a great substitute for food and I'm feeling a little weak today. Just so happens I have access to a large box of chocolates right beside me tho......

Awww, seems we just missed Monkey Day which was on the 14th December. Must mark it in the calendar for next year and do my best to help it come a national holiday!
(link posted for monkey loving Brucey)
Sometimes life just has a way of throwing things at you out of the blue. Sometimes its a good thing, sometimes bad and its a shame that its the bad ones the usually seem to stick in your mind. Yesterday lunchtime one of those things happened to me and I'm pleased to say it was a nice one.

You may remember waaaaay back in August when I got drunk and tracked down an old uni friend on the interweb? Well, after exchanging a couple of emails we kind of lost touch again. That was until yesterday when I bumped into her in town! Hopefully we should now be going for a drink and catch up soon.

Another pointless peice of research to find the formula for the perfect peice of toast. Perfect for whom??? I like my toast almost burnt and cold! Waste of £10,000......... *mumble*
Find your birthday star - that is a star which is the right number of light years away that the light from it left when you were born and is only just reaching here.
(link via The Presurfer)
I have no idea what's going on but take a look anyway. Least you can do is have fun throwing the little people around....
Waste some time with this game where you have to blow a ball round a course with a fan.
See the normal looking house that has a subterranean fortress underneath. Perfect for when you want to hide from the rest of the family over Chrismas....
Yesterday I went to church and watched a sermon being given. Not just any church tho - this was the First Presleytarian Church of Elvis, the Divine (UK). Oh yeah, I went to The Rescue Rooms in Nottingham to see Alabama 3. I saw and it was good!

Apart from the venue being a little on the 'cosy' side, the temperature slowly building so that towards the end I felt like I was in a sauna and the fact that I must have inhaled enough second hand smoke to have tarred my lungs for a good 3 weeks I had a great time. First time I had heard a lot of their new tracks and some were really good. Larry Love was on fine form as usual and D Wayne Love was - as my friend Myles so succinctly put it - "mad as a badger" but very entertaining. I'd recommend all of you going to see them if you get a chance - its probably one of the few occasions you get to see people dressed as cowboys on a night out in town!

Only downside of all this - well they were selling CD's for a tenner and I went for the limited edition album. Its okay (what little I've heard) but sounds like accoustic versions of the songs. So I popped into town today to get the proper new album - 16 quid! D'oh!!!!!!

Sorry for lack of much today. Been very short staffed due to people having holidays and being ill. Damn me for being so healthy and never being ill! Not that I really want to be sat at home feeling horrible but (and I know its silly) it makes me feel like I'm missing out.

While a lot of today has been spent trying to deal with people who have as usual left thier work till the last minute to hand in (*pant* this.... *wheeze* needs to be in in 3 minutes and 23 seconds and.... *gasp, cough* I've suddenly realised I don't know how to print it!!) I have had some spare time which I've spent surfing around for inspiration. Its been about 6 weeks now since I agreed to make my friend Mark a website for his new business and I've not got too far. Admittedly I have been away for some of it and getting hold of Mark to ask for input on what he wants on it and what sort of look he wants is nigh on impossible, but I should have got further than I have. Think maybe it is harder because I really have no starting point to work from in term of the design. Guess I'm just going to have to pick for him.

Also quite fancy doing a Flash site - maybe I'll get the HTML one out the way first and then do the Flash version.
Just wanted to link to this site cos I thought it was really well made. Its called Dunun.

Update: The site changes depending on what time of day it is - I really do think this place is well made.
One for the blokes here. Now I dont mean it contains nude girlies or other such (terrible) stuff, just that only men can access the site as it requires you to take a security test that only men will be able to pass.

Actually its quite a good advertising pitch and it makes me want to order a cold, crisp and clean Molsons Canadian beer.
Here's another little Christmassy game for you. Definitely no zombies, demons or gun toting priest here, nope.......

Do you remember all those things you got up to when you were a kid? When you fell off your bike. That time you ate some mud. When your beloved hamster Mr Nibbles died and you cried for a whole week. Well, maybe they really happened but then again maybe they didn't.......

A festive one for you - create your own snowman.
Now this is the sort of thing I like to see, printer ink that can be 'erased' so that the paper can be used again. I know that we print off so much junk where I work that ends up going to be shredded or recycled (or just in the bin half the time) - so much money and paper could be saved!
Had a very relaxing evening last night just sat in front of the telly. Saw a film that I'd heard about quite a while ago and wanted to see - Brotherhood of the Wolf. Strange film really about a wild beast that was attacking and killing people in France a couple of hundred years ago and based on a true story so I seem to remember. Mix of Matrix style martial arts and period drama. Was very good tho.

I also saw most of an episode of The Office for the first time and although I know this is probably going to be controversial, thought it was pants! Think I chortled slightly once and that was it. Really can't see why anyone thinks this is funny, let alone brilliant. Maybe I'm just the sort that likes humour at its lowest level - I was watching Red Dwarf earlier in the evening and thats still as funny as ever....

I've played the Battle Bots game that you can find on this website before but I've not looked around the rest of the place. There are some quite amusing things here and I do like the bug orgy.
Ever faniced owning an island? Well if you have then this is the site for you. Some quite cheap bargain islands available actually. And of course so not so cheap ones!
(link via The G-Spot)
This is quite a relaxing animation. Well made too.
Take the test to prove if Americans are stupid or not. I got 16/20 and the results so far seem to suggest Americans are a little bit more stupid them the rest of the world.
Take a look at the trailer for Hellboy. Not sure if this will be any good or not - so often I'm left dissapointed by these comic book adaptions. The Hulk springs to mind...
Some people may find Cooking by Numbers an invaluable site but personally I have got the job of making a meal out of whatever is left in the cupboards down to a fine art. Not that I haven't had a few disasters along the way...

Anyway, you tell the page what you have left and it tells you what you can cook. Hey presto, shopping delayed for yet another day.
About the last thing I saw on whichever of the many music channels available on Sky that I just happened to stop on this morning, was a great video by a band called the Boogie Pimps (the website is not in english but you can have a look anyway). It involved 5 parachuting babies falling towards a skimpy underwear clad, several hundred foot tall woman rolling around on the countryside with a large bottle of baby milk. What more could you want from a video except maybe some monkeys?

The song itself was a remix of the classic 1976 hit 'Somebody to Love' by Jefferson Airplane. Think the remix was okay tho I was possibly too distracted by the video to listen properly.....

This is quite cool, its a selection of online jigsaw puzzles. Passes the time anyhow and you won't end up with a bit missing....
Is this the future of pets maybe?

Whilst on the subject, maybe a quick visit to Android World.....?
You'd think that you would learn your lesson after a while, drinking on a work night = bad!! Urghhhh, think its just the lack of sleep thats doing me in more than anything else. Still, was a good night all in all.

Only planned on joining my friend Ian down the pub to watch Sunderland vs Coventry and then go home. Instead we joined up with another group who were out drinking nearby before being 'persuaded' (hey, I'd dare any man to say no in my position with the techniques being used by the young lady in question) to go on for yet more drinks after closing. Finally got to bed at about 1am after a long, cold walk home.

On a separate note, last Fridays night out drinking saw me eating my first kebab. I know thats sad for a man of my age but most people agree that kebabs are only eaten when drunk and I tend to not feel hungry after getting drunk - I substitute food for beer!

Just thought it was a moment worth mention before I now go back to trying to keep my eyes open and maybe doing some work at some point....?

Think this does the rounds every years as I definitely did it last year. Make your own snowflake.
Find out colour you are. I am steel blue apparently.
There is something that has puzzled me for quite a while now. Why does the sun make you sneeze? You're inside in the gloom and step out into bright sunshine and you just get the urge to sneeze a couple of times. Or is that just me?

Moving swiftly on, this ones dedicated to my friend Rach - The Gallery of Bellydancing Librarians.

Not sure how long these recommendations will be kept up when Amazon realise.
Ancient fossil penis discovered!!! And by a man at this uni would you believe.

I mean how could I not post that......
A site dedicated to the monobrow (people that have eyebrows that join in the middle for all you that dont know).
I saw these a while ago, genetically modified fish that glow in the dark. I'm not sure of the environmental and ethical issues but they are prety tho....
So I haven't posted anything today - its a Friday and I'm feeling lazy.

I dont like to dissapoint tho. Here is an amusing little Santa game for you to play. Click to start, click to pull back and click to stop + fire. Took me bloody ages to get it right....

Okay, here's another Santa game - I was just as crap at this one.

Have to admit to being a little annoyed today. I received a letter back confirming that my application had been accepted and my job would be regraded to a new pay scale to take into account my new position and responsibilities. And when would this regrading take place you may ask - APRIL!!!

Okay I was never that bothered about going through the whole tedious process of applying for the regrade in the first place and the actual jump in salary is hardly amazing. But the extra money would have been nice and by the time I do finally get it I will have been doing this job for about a year and a half! Just feels like I am being cheated to work that long without it being recognised.

Pah, if the job carries on annoying me this much I may just not be here in April to get my pay rise.
Some very stunning pictures taken with a digital camera. The images are comprised of lots of smaller segments stitched together to create huge images. He has even created one that is over a gigapixel in size...
Bloke buys Boeing 727 and converts it into a house.
Now's your chance to find out what its like to see thro the eye's of an animal or plant thanks to Animal Vegetable Video. They strap little micro cameras on top of animals heads and on plants and you can watch the short videos they make with them. I liked the Armadillo....

Seems Canada is seeking to ban that most hideous of acts.... Dwarf Tossing! About bloody time too I say.
This was a bit of fun for a while. Take a virtual driving test. Never let me near a car is all I can say....
This flash movie is kinda hypnotic.

None of my female friends are gonna talk to me after today are they?
Sure I must have linked to this before - or at least something similar - as I definitely remember looking at it at some point? Its a page for all those women that want to learn to pee standing up.

As I'm already down on this level, what the hell. If you have problems getting it right, then you probably need the help of this device.
Anybody interesting the the WCCC (World Championship Chili Cookoff) courtesy of the International Chili Society? Just seemed like I had to link to it as I had quite a hot chilli myself last night actually...
I was actually looking at this rather weird website yesterday after finding it somewhere and was going to post the link until I was interrupted by some woman complaining that the computer suite was too noisy for her to work! Like a lab with 200 people in is going to be quiet?! Trying to explain this to her and that I was not going to spend my time patrolling the whole lab telling anyone talking in more than a whisper to be quiet was a futile exercise tho. Got round it by using my patented blank expression and repeating the same answer over and over till she got frustrated and left - works everytime!

Anyway, I was only reminded of this place when I saw it linked on The Presurfer so have a look if you fancy seeing some Flash weirdness.
One thing that I really do like about the internet is that you never know what you might just stumble across one day. Last night for instance, after my slightly drunk ramblings about computers and stuff - me and my friend started plugging names into Google to see what we could find (yeah original I know). It just started with ourselves to see how high we ranked in a search and look at some of the other people with the same name that beat us to the top result - like this Mr M. Merrifield, Oceanographer.

Anyway, we then moved onto other people and during a search for my housemate, came upon this place belonging to a friend of his - turns out she is a blogger too and he never knew!

Makes me want to search around a bit more to see who else I might find. I already know about the blog belonging to another friend of a friend so that makes two now. How many more I wonder....?

I don't know, seemed such a waste to only post once in the day so I thought I'd add a little more now. I mean what better time than fresh back from the pub quiz (which we didn't win of course). I think I just lacked motivation earlier on - after a long day of doing boring jobs and not doing boring jobs I should have been doing, I just couldnt muster the effort to say much.

At least I am once again online at home. After almost a year of running Windows I felt it had reached the stage where there were enough small niggly problems to justify a re-install. Thats always the fun part then, the bit where you spend a couple of days setting things back up the way you like them, finding the drivers you forgot to download before you wiped the machine and trying to remember what software you'd put on there in the first place! Almost back to where I was before now, albeit running a lot faster and without the crashes.

Also found some new firewall software that I'd not tried before - Sygate personal firewall. Seems to be okay and not found any problems with it so far. Definitely prefer it to ZoneAlarm.

On another note I also installed Outlook 2003 - pah, nice new features it may have but the layout is still designed for a totally computer illiterate 6 year old. Maybe I'll get used to it......

Well, best get some sleep I suppose, laters all.
So little worthy of blogging today - just seems to be one of those days. Still, can't go without at least posting one thing, so how about a giant hot air balloon shaped like Jesus...

To finish the day - kittens!! The page is FULL of images so dont go on a slow connection.
Man forgets wallet so pays for petrol with his nephew. I have three nephews - wonder what I can get for them?
A game involving eggs for you to try. I had one go and scored 130 - the top score is almost 1600.....
Hands up all you men that had a thing for Princess Leia in her little metal bikini from Return of the Jedi. Come on, admit it! Well this is the page for you, with a slave Princess Leia gallery, how to make a bikini and pictures of fans in said metal bikini's. Its all you could ever wish for over at Leia's Metal Bikini.

Doesn't do anything for me of course, I was just looking through the site for... ummm.... research purposes. Yes research purposes, thats it...... *ahem*.
Girl is first victim of hit and run segway driver. He'll be hard to track down....
Maybe I have posted this before, maybe not? Its the page detailing one mans mission to find... well I'm sure the name of the page will give it away - Zerosexlife.com.

Suppose whilst I'm down in the gutter I may as well relink to this blog where the bloke was testing some of those pills that we all get spam about to see if they really do what they say they do. And would you believe the answer is......
I wouldn't exactly say I had an action packed weekend, but it was a good one. A great night out on Friday - although it technically started at 3:30pm - consisting off all the things that make for a good night out! I'm talking beer, pub quiz machines, american pool and and a nice curry! What more could a man want. Well okay some things do spring to mind but still....

Saturday was much of the same. A small group of us out on a bar crawl, finishing up with us watching karaoke in this pub till about 2am. We also discovered a fine new drink, a mixture of Malibu and cranberry juice. The pub we were in served 10 shots of each in a large jug and called them a 'Red Rudolph Jug', although we much prefered our own term and insisted on calling them 'Rudolphs Red Jugs'! Well, boys will be boys.
