Better learning through mobile phones. A lot of drivel and most people agree in the comments. The study he refers to doesn’t even seem to say it’s a good idea (“…only 39% were in favour of an SMS-based student participation service”).
Seem to be a lot of people that look at a technology and then try to find a way to use it. I won’t directly quote but I saw someone the other day find some new software, get all excited and blog “What problem does this solve? What are we going to do with it?”
Maybe I’m just old fashioned in having a problem and then trying to find a solution to it rather than doing it the other way around?
