In the news

A good example of our throw away society – and one that will annoy the hell out of me if approved – is Tottenham Hotspur’s desire to take over control of the London Olympic stadium after the 2012 games. And what will they do with it? They will tear it down and build a new one. Something that cost close to £500 million of taxpayers money to build, replaced because they don’t want a running track.

Fair enough, the running track may not make it the best football stadium and the idea may be financially the best for spurs but to tear it down after only a few months of use is criminal. Shows very poor planning from the Olympic comittee…
